Watchstar.co.uk is a website for watch enthusiasts.
The website aggregates less-well-known-brand watches from eBay and presents them in an easy-to-find way.
My name is Gareth Morlais. I live in Cardiff, Wales UK. I set up this site because it seemed more difficult to find the watch brands I love – like Mido, Movado, Nomos, etc. – than the usual Rolex and Omega on the internet.
FAQs
Is it safe to buy a watch here?
Watchstar.co.uk aggregates watches for sale on eBay in an easy-to-navigate way. You’re not buying a watch from Watchstar.co.uk; you’re buying it from a seller on eBay. Ebay is a secure place to buy items and there’s added protection when you use PayPal.
Why do you have such a limited range of brands?
Watchstar.co.uk specialises in a small number of classic brands that may be less well known than the big makes. Many of these watches are analogue, not digital and mechanical not electronic. There are plenty of other sites selling Rolex.
What’s in it for you?
I get to work in an area I love. I can make it easier for watch enthusiasts to find much-loved yet hard-to-find watch brands. This website is financially sustainable because, when someone clicks through to buy a watch from eBay, a small commission is paid by eBay.
How did you build this site?
I built it using WordPress and the Ebay Editors’ Kitwhich made it easier for me to present watches in this way. The old version of this site was built using BANS but I’ve now redesigned the site.
What’s your favourite watch?
I love my custom 1963 Mido Commando automatic with white gold blocks at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.
